Obama Again Beats McCain In Argentina Poll

U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama has again out polled John McCain in a survey of local political preferences.

Sixty-four percent of Argentines polled said they want Obama to win the November election. Some 19% said they want McCain to win while 17% said they don’t know for sure. “Barack Obama is the preferred candidate among Argentines,” according to Poliarquia, the consulting firm that led the survey.

Poliarquia’s survey confirms the results of other local polls, which also have shown Obama to be much more popular than McCain. In addition, Argentina’s political preferences are inline with those of 22 other countries, according to a recent BBC poll.

In that poll, people in 22 out of 22 countries surveyed said they want Barack Obama to win the election. An average of just 12% of those polled in those countries said they want McCain to win while 49% want Obama to be the next U.S. president.

Argentines don’t vote (luckily) for the next US president, so we are safe that Obama won’t be the next president. We don’t want a megalomaniac like Cristina Kirchner in power. USA is for low taxes, small but strong-government, and freedom. Obama is a European socialist, McCain stands for what most people stand in the USA, which is right to bear arms, marriage being between a man and a woman, etc. Luckily California is only California, and I think this election will be about values again. Don’t forget about national security, with Russia rising again as a threat to European democracies.

AS a native argentinian, who lives in the USA, after seeing what the Argentina’s citizen elect for president, I’m glad they are no allowed to vote in this country.

Values??? You have got to be kidding.

The US is in the worst possible situation it could be and after the Republicans have had their turn at the helm.

Most of the words that pop into my head to try to sum up the GOP are words like Greed, Deception, Warmongering, and Incompetency (where is Osama?), intolerance towards foreigners, gays, and women, and one of the easiest places on the planet to find gangbangers with easy access to high powered guns that are made to hunt people.

Who Argentines vote for in their country have nothing to do with the image of the United States abroad. It just reflects what most of the world sees and has no correlation with their own voting in their own country.

I have confidence in that come November their will be a confirmation of the American people´s desire for change by the election for Obama.

Sorry Ramiro,

But Obama is going to win (check out the state polls the past month–Obama is leading in almost every swing state) and McCain does NOT reflect the majority of Americans. There have always been more registered Democrats than Republicans, and with millions of newly registered Democrats and increasing numbers of college graduates, the US is shifting left whether you like it or not. And, by the way, California isn’t just California, but the 8th largest economy in the world. All by itself. Lastly, you can use absurd tags like European Socialist or whatever, but the majority of Americans would gladly have universal healthcare, cheaper education, energy independence and a strong economy, no matter what banner it fell under. You can it socialism but most of it simply call quality of life.
