That last part gave me goose bumps. You should work for Obama, Taos. I don't know if that kind of speech would work here but it sounded good to me.

Many thanks for all the comments and feedback here. There are some excellent and well-stated points. I'll leave it to readers to determine which are most constructive and helpful and which aren't. I wrote this post just before going on vacation and didn't have time to follow the comments while I was away. Now that I'm back, there are too many for me to address fairly. Needless to say some are wiser than others. Many thanks again,

Hello (hola) I don't know if the other people who wrote these comments are argentinians, I am, I was born and lived in argentina for 24 years. now I'm living in china. So before I say what I have to say, I want to straight things out. our country is ARGENTINA, not argentine. We're Argentinians, not argentines. It's and old and outdated term. now that I said tt, I must say that, in the last 6 years, Argentina has fallen into a goverment who believe in a totalistarism that could reach the concept of a dictatorship: If they lost the elections it is because their methods have proven to be wrong, it is because now, low-class people have found out that now the CFK's government isn't offering or giving away anything anymore to buy they trust and their votes. So there you go, again, a lot of false promises. We argentinians are used to it... at least the ones of my generation (1983) but we will change it. We're tired to see how the "officialism" is using our taxes and our own money to reach some leader's personal goals. We're exhausted of watching how elected governors do their job as a matter of personal achievements and greed. We argentinians talk a lot but we never do anything at all to change things. That day will come, but it depends on us. It could be in any language... I really appreciate you could use this media to transmit such things to us (readers) but I don't agree on seeing more opinions from argentinian people who aren't ready to really do something about it, instead of talking and talking. CFK lost fair and square, and she deserves it, no matter what other people think. She also deserves to be remembered in history as a kind of person that shall never be chosen again (I didn't vote for her, and that 46, 5 % who voted must be very ashamed now.)

I think that if you have the power she has you would/could not write a speech like this. Is simply, being a president implies having a lot of pressure around you, a lot of interests... a lo of things going around, I think it's easy to say "you should do this or you should do that" when you don't realize that in front of you there's a lot of people praying for your resign or praying for things to go bad. I think everybody would like to be "perfect", good, and that admits his mistakes... we ask it to a president or to another person, but can we do it first? I think we can't.
But at the end is not so serious I think, nobody likes to lose and life's go on.
