The Japanese husband and wife team won in the “Salon Tango” category, beating out a Colombian duo that came in second place.  Argentines Jorge Mariño and Sara Parnigoni came in third.

Around 6,000 people watched the competition, which took place at Luna Park in downtown Buenos Aires.

It’s pretty sad when foreigners win a contest and the contestants that are native to the country do not win it. Most of all “asians ‘ that are wannabes. I hope Argentineans START taking a little more pride and emphasize on maintaining the culture and customs and everything else that pertains to our unique “rioplatenese” culture and not wannabes .

Don’t be a sore loser. Tango is big in Japan and Finland too.
